Ken and Donna Carter

Carter & Carter Financial was founded in 1979 to service the growing community need for financial planning. At the time, "Financial Planning" was a relatively young and unheard of profession. In 1980, Ken and Donna opened their "Independent Financial Planning" business with a primary focus on increasing assets and lowering taxes.

As their reputation for providing an excellent recipe of tax and investment services grew, the Carters were profiled as an independent financial planning team in two Loren Dutton books: "Your Book of Financial Planning" (1983), a consumer's guide a to better financial future, and "The Financial Planner: A New Profession" (1986)*.

Carter & Carter Financial incorporated in 1985 and associated with Raymond James Financial Services, our current broker dealer, in conjunction with the opening of the Eugene branch. Ken Carter still acts as chief economist for Carter & Carter, and Donna Carter is the company's "Good Will Ambassador."
